what a slog! i read 2-3% before bed because it makes me tired. i’m reading this for book club but the way murakami writes about women in insufferable. why, in every 2% increment, is a woman’s chest or physique discussed and sexualized? no one is exempt, not older women, not children, UGH!!!! i will likely be slowly reading this book for years.

Got to the part of the book where i can’t read it at it at night because it’ll make me cry :(

pretty interesting premise so far! easy to read

I’m listening to the audiobook so I’m not sure how far I’m in, but I grow more and more annoyed with every chapter. The reconstructed childhood scenes are so poorly written and corny. She’s just smiling to herself about how sneaky she is.

reading this for SPL mutual aid book club! easy and quick read so far. i definitely enjoyed the theoretical section more than the “how to” practical session. i sent a quote to dana over text

it’s soooo boring, i started this for a bookclub and might have to discontinue it
