I really wanted to like this book but I may abandon it soon. I feel like the author already made her point about the lead, but isn’t expanding much or adding to the topic. The story doesn’t feel cohesive, I feel like I’m just reading about smelters, a brief grizzly killing, then hearing about the author’s abusive father.
