I hate that I hate this book. I love Colleen Hoover SO MUCH, & have lapped up every single book she's written, until now. I hate Quinn, I hate how "typical" everything is. I hate how neat it's packaged. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be sympathetic to her struggles or if Colleen has set out to make me hate her, but it's frustrating. So far this book is "I have the perfect man who loves me perfectly, but I'm a dick"

I am speechless. I’m tearing through this book like crazy, i have to know!
Every character is so vivid, so detailed. Its beautifully crafted and so suspenseful

While a bit hurried, this is well written.

Omg I am digging this.

God I hope this gets good. The sex scenes are awful and half the other text is either well done or complete shit, depending on what’s going on. The storyline is ok, but the interactions and dialog is not.

I often have a hard time with fantasy books because if the author doesn't present the "other world" or "special abilities" well, I just can't buy in to it. There are a lot of otherworldly things in this book, from very close to the beginning. Fortunately for me, they are slid in without much fuss or clunkiness, as I often see. They are given as how things are, with a short explanation to some. I'm digging it!

My god this book tho! It is such a well-written piece, filled with the good, the bad, and the ugly. The character building is masterful, the scenery and details are clear and precise without going overboard, and the consistency through each chapter is magnificent! This is the best book that I've read in a good, long time!

I like the writing, except that it is over simplified/detailed. I have to say, though, I don't like a single character yet. Lola is self-centered and judgmental, . Hubert is a doormat, and Piper seems oblivious.
Having said that, I'm not hating this book. I'm interested to see where it goes. Ten bucks says I see where it'll end up, though. Hope I'm wrong an it's not really that predictable from 20% in!

Found issue with a bit here and there, but overall, in love with this book

Look, I'm not even joking. I read 26% in half an hour, and wanted to go in to work late so that I could finish this book. DEAR GLOBS!

Him was good. This is, literally, just a retelling, with less detail. It's like a long cliff notes of Him. If you don't read them back to back, you won't know what in the hell is going on in spots.
I'm just not digging this, not even really interested in reading the rest. Feels like I'm rereading the first book, but with LESS detail. Not bueno...

This book is so disjointed. I'm not enjoying this at all :/
