i get the urge to read delightfully filthy garbage like this about once a year and this is definitely…. meeting that mark 🕴️

SO FAR THIS BOOK IS SUCKING SO MUCH IM BREAKING MY GOODREADS silence to complain about it to you all.

my only caveat— i’m 3 chapters in, so MAYBE it gets better.

but the writing is terrible. full of trite sayings and unrealistic dialogue. then, she tries to make up for it with big words and overly descriptive & flowery language.

Ah! I was so nervous to start another Brom book. After loving Slewfoot so much, I was afraid nothing else could come close.

But here I am, hooked by chapter 1 and absolutely SCREAMING by chapter 5!

boi I already KNOW this is boutta be a 5 star read. 🤯🤯🤯 i’m trying to go slow, so i can absorb it all. but i have a feeling i’ll be rereading this & recommending to everyone i know for many years to come.
