SO FAR THIS BOOK IS SUCKING SO MUCH IM BREAKING MY GOODREADS silence to complain about it to you all.
my only caveat— i’m 3 chapters in, so MAYBE it gets better.
but the writing is terrible. full of trite sayings and unrealistic dialogue. then, she tries to make up for it with big words and overly descriptive & flowery language.

also Ricki is SO annoying jesus christ. i cannot stand the “im so quirky and anxious and awkward and clumsy and not like other girls” trope. it’s giving 28 year old acting like bella swan 😒 im PRAYING she’s so insufferable at the beginning to set us up for some character development
