Book 2, I cannot stop reading this trilogy, although this afternoon Libby has me. My book has expired at 41%. I will be starting at Chapter 16 when it successfully renews. I do not think I will forget these characters while I wait. Sat. Aug. 8 2026

Wonderful so far! It is a 7 day “skip the line” book on Libby, a biggie too, so have been reading non- stop in all my spare moments to try and get through it. I have 4 days left. Check it out!

I had set aside this book for another and I am just getting back to it as of yesterday Dec. 15th, 2025. Oh the prose of these classics have my heart, but the reading can be slow so this will likely be my last book of 2025.
Our protagonist is Miss Undine Spratt, a snotty bitch in my mind. Let’s see if my feelings change. lol

A great historical fiction, even with having to juggle three time lines. Sadly, it had to return to the library. I will get back at it in about 4 weeks.

How ironic, as I am getting into this book this evening, Sunday evening now after Rory’s Masters win, I am reading about Tiger’s Grand Slam win a convincing win at St. Andrews in 2000. I think this book so far has an appropriate title.

A good book to read on Master’s weekend.

Back at it today March 23,2025 after sneaking in a long awaited library hold by Chris Whitaker.

Here I am halfway through, after starting this tome three weeks ago today. I have almost given up at least a couple of times as other books are calling on me. But I am truly captivated by this book and in a love/hate relationship with the brothers, especially Dmitri/Mitya. So far the hardest part, keeping everyone’s names straight. I think the story should pick up pace now, at least I hope so.

I have not read too much today as I have to keep rereading passages like this.

Here on my 8th day in, I am struggling a bit, but starting to get the hang of FD writing. One of my major dislikes of Russian authors is their tendency to have multiple names for the same character, so going to sort out the brothers and all their names today. Dec. 31, 2024

I have decided to make this my last read of 2024 for a few reasons. I have surpassed my 2024 GR Reading Challenge, I am waiting for some library holds to ring in the New Year, I read Crime and Punishment back in December 2016 so only fitting I read in December 2024. And lastly, I can discuss this epic novel with my 21 year old grandson who read this tome in the summer.

Things are starting to heat up, can I continue to read slowly? I have 10 days left on my library hold.

So glad to be back in Three Pines, Quebec. Two years was a long time. I have 16 days left on my library hold and I do not want to have re-borrow again, the wait will be too long. Stay tuned everyone.

Oh what a tome, but I cannot put it down. On my second week and second library renewal now. I love saga’s and big books, I cannot lie.

A truly remarkable author, her stories have us there in the room.

On Chapter 51 and my library loan expired. Have to wait again around 6 more weeks.

This has been a tough read so far, but I cannot stop reading it. Frankie is on her way home now, let's see what this strong heroine does next.

Getting the tissues ready, I am diving in after my long library wait.

Here I am 12 days later and only 1/2 done. This pretty much sums it up….”What a poor crime this is when we have no body and no murderer!”
I will carry on with this tome.

It has taken me awhile to reach halfway. However, the stage has been set, looking forward to the second half of this book.

Loving this tome so far, especially Madeline. Book 1 of 3. I love big books and trilogy’s, I cannot lie.

This is a big book which I love, just starting Part 2 at the 29% mark. So far so good. A-M MacDonald is a fav. Canadian author of mine.

Well, almost half way through, nothing much has happened since Nora left for school at the end of Book 1. I hope I don’t have to start skimming.

I think I am going to put aside reading this for now. I need a different frame of mind. Stephen is just a great author, I may come back to it another time. No rating from me for now.

This author is set for our next book club discussion, so as recommended, I will begin with Ms. George’s first book in her Inspector Lynley series.

I have Part 6 left, Rain, however I had to return the EBook to the library. However as writing this, my book has been renewed. I cannot wait to finish this most unusual saga of the Casky family, even if family is the correct word to use.

I have just finished Part 4. Next generation now at the helm. The mystery and dysfunction of this family continues though. I have never read a southern gothic genre before.
