Fourth Wing, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Shield of Sparrows….another romantasy with multiple books. Go into this knowing what you’re going to get and it’s not bad. I’ll read the next in April.

I wanted to love this book and had parts that were great, but somewhere in the middle it went on and on about writing and lost momentum. The end was good.

I wanted a comedy and this wasn’t exactly what I got, but ended up being and ok choice. Jolene works in an office of cubicles and accidentally gets access to the companies emails and files while under disciplinary action. I liked the relationships she formed.

The cover and title do not do this book justice. It’s deeper and more full of character. I loved Harriet’s role with the book club women in the prison, the way Violet begins to find herself as an adult, the forgiveness Frank finds for Violet. Good story! 4 or 5? I can’t decide. 4.5

Wow! I loved so many aspects of this book. I was enamored with all of the communication Sybil could keep up with. It was a full time job. She wrote to keep her mind busy and avoid grief. The letter at the end that Theodore shared with Fiona, meant for Dan did leave me less than satisfied, but everything up to then was so good. I especially like Bisam.

At first I wasn’t sure about this book, but it grew on me. Much of it didn’t matter that it took place on Mars, especially after Darrow got out of the Reds. Not bad but not sure I will continue the series.

Not a bad book but also not a memorable book. Playing on the octopus word in the title because of Remarkable Bright creature to pull in readers but really has nothing to do with Octopi. 🐙 Really more of a twist in family secrets. Ok, but not one I would highly recommend. 2.5 ⭐️

This book…it was a great on to start the new year. 😭 Moving, heartbreaking, thought provoking, and beautiful. A man bears the end of his life surrounded by the love of his dog. 🐕 It was a hard read but one to remember.

Not a bad story but nothing exceptional or memorable either.

This was good one with quite a few twists. I may have enjoyed it even more if it wasn’t broken up into 2 different borrows for me. lol! Finished before midnight to get it on my 2025 read list!

Such bravery and determination was shown by these 9 French resistance women working together to get away from Ravensbrook concentration camp and back to France. The story was based upon the author’s great aunt.
