This was a quick read that at first I thought was a love story, but I think it was really more about memory, regret, and the past creeping into the present. The short, young romance with Yash had such a hold on Jordan/Hink and it took years to address the choices made and regrets held. Satisfying ending!

A very quick, quirky, and thought promoting read. It was an interesting idea showing how quickly a society could fall apart without language.

I buzzed through this book in a weekend, loving that it was read by Michael himself. Learning more about his dealings with Parkinson’s was fascinating and I love that he is such an advocate for others too. I need to get his other 2 books.

This has been my favorite TJR book (read Daisy Jones/Carrie Soto prior). I listened and always enjoy that reader as well. I liked the characters and learning more about each.

This book was a long one that took me a while to get through, but I truly loved so much of it. I enjoyed the history, the setting, the grief and tragedy that unfolded and the “forgetments” the characters faced. Was it a hard read? Yes, but I remember that from Stedman’s last book as well. What a long, hard life for so many characters. I loved Lorna, Matt, Rose, Andy, Bonnie, and Pete Peachy too.

Wow…this book captivated me and left me heart-broken for the women involved. I cannot even put myself into Isra’s shoes and imagine the despair of her life as a Palestinian woman living in a basement in America, wanting to do better for my own daughters.

This series has been a light-hearted delight this summer, although this one had some heavier ideas. I thought volume 8 was the last for some reason, but now I read there are 24 or 25 more planned. Hmmm…seems like a lot. I wonder who the second branch of the tree in Emma’s fortune will be.

What, what?!?? I could feel that ending coming but was surprised it was the end! Eek!! On to book 8!

There were so many parts of this book that drew me in and interested me, but connecting them all felt forced. I’m fascinated by the dust bowl and the plight of the Native Americans during that time, Antonia’s story of the home for unwed mothers, even the photographers of the period and Harp’s polish father’s story, but it just was hard to bring it all together. Throwing in magical realism made it very odd.

What a weird book. I can say that I wish I had not used my time on this one. I didn’t hate it but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The ending was disjointed and unsatisfying. Meh 2.5

I am struggling to read this book. It’s not bad but it leaves me feeling unsettled. I think I’m just ready for it to be over.

I liked this one as well, but not as much as vol 4 & 5. Not sure how I feel about the ending. I could see it coming, but not sure it will work.

I loved this book! At times it there were a few parts that didn’t pull together right away, but it was sweet and Fred was such a kind character.

I still can’t decide how to rate this book. 3? 4?

I finished this book but honestly have to sleep on it before I can rate it. Did I like it? Yes, I think, but it was definitely strange. Did I dislike it, yes, I think but it was also fascinating and different. I can’t say what left me unsettled with this book but it felt very cringy, and brain washy way before the twists.

This book was so interesting to me. So many questions were asked that were never answered because the main character just didn’t know. The general feeling while reading reminded me of The Road or Silo. I really enjoyed it.

I’ve quickly come to look forward to listening to this series! I can’t wait to know more about Pierce and Islington. Will cousin Archibald be up and about in the next book?

This is such a light hearted, easy read series. I’m really enjoying getting to know Emma more in this volume and want to know more about the tenant.
