I'm so excited to read this! It's been a long wait.

I'm about to give up on this book. From all the positive reviews I wonder it if will get better but I'm afraid it won't.

So 60 years have passed and this girl is searching for food in abandoned houses? Really? 60 years, if she eats that food she would get food poisoning and die.

I wish the premise was different for this story. As it is, the idea that the unwinding solution would satisfy both the abortion and pro-life groups is ridiculous.

Only a few pages in and already irritated by the illogical similes and metaphors. Raindrops are like someone emptying their pockets. Besides the mundane exampled, it doesn't make much sense. Who empties their pockets with uniform things? I thought of Kramer from Seinfeld, when he dumps hundreds of pennies on the counter to make a purchase. Is this a comedy? Probably not.

The amount of obscure facts, jargon, history, and nuances the author has put into this book about the 20s is ridiculous. It would be like writing a story today that read: She turned flashing her Clinique lips, cream skin, and Maybelline lashes, her Tommyhilfiger dress swinging. The club's playing "Baby got Back" by Sir Mix a lot, as she turns it changes to "Let's Go" by Will I Am. She says, "LOL. WTH. biotch."

The smoothest read of the Elantra series so far. Hopefully it continues the entire book.
