I was very confused when I started reading this because I had just re-read Little House in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie. In those books Carrie was already born before they left Wisconsin for Kansas, but in this book Caroline is pregnant with Carrie. Laura is three and Mary is five. I looked online and found that this was accurate and they went back to Wisconsin and then back to the prairie.

Almost half-way through and nothing about Theo (except that she hasn't responded to Val Con's message.

Finished Noninterference. The original premise was good <spoiler> curing the humanoid alien gave her immortality </spoiler> but the followup focused more on political shenanigans and not less on the "what if" until the very end.

I found this on my bookshelf with a sticker from a used book sale, but no recollection of when or where I bought it.
The story is about Jewish immigrants in NYC, but was written in 1925 rather than being a historical novel written well after (such as Rivington Street or The Midwife.

Except for the intro, Vashti didn't show up until page 100 and Esther not yet.

This book needed a better copy editor. On page 351 "at the age of eighteen Grisha... married seventeen-year-old Sara." But on page 442, at the bris of their son "his mother, who was nineteen years old and his father, just twenty-three". How could he age 5 years while she only aged 2 years? This started as a three star rating, went down to two and now to 1.5,
