The conflict in my book is parent vs child. Maiya lost her mom when she was really young so she is being raised by her dad. She is 17 and she thinks she is ready to date. Her dad does not approve of the boy she likes because he has a lot of tatoos and a lot of piercings and he looks like your average boy who gets in trouble. This is a timeless and universal because every family goes this at some point and time.

This book really got interesting this past week, Maiya is currently grounded for three weeks for sneaking our to a part and cussing at her dad. The boy drew that she liked hasn't been a good influence on her at all but she won't listen to her dad or best friends when they try to tell her.

This is not the book that i am reading but it has the same title. The main characters name is Maiya and one of her best friends Mi Mi reminds me of one of my old best friends named Sanaa. They are both reallyy loud but have good hearts and will do anything for the people they love.

I just started reading this book from the library and at first i thought it was kind of boring but as i kept reading i could start to relate to the main character. Her best friend Jade moved away so she felt alone, and i moved and i can relate to how she feels.

My book as been really good so far and i'm just bout done reading so right now i am trying to find another book to read. I am sort of loosing an interest in my book and i'm deciding on if i m going to try to find one in the library or on my phone.

Something that was surprising to me in the book was that Kasuan finally purposed to Nyairah. They have been off and on for 17 years and i would have never though that they would get married. Kasuan jr got beat up by a stranger which has everyone on edge.
