A lot of thoughts on the mind, starting with: how central American citizenship is to the struggle (in opposition to colonization/deportation), the narrative of a global democracy, the power of a visual document - photo, drawing or otherwise, the importance of the military, what it took to intertwine emancipation with the war effort, & a separate fight for equal protection/dignity under the law + land reparations

I guess what I will say is that you get so used to the horrible things that are embedded in this world and see art grow increasingly abstract while depicting that violence and you just sort of forget that evil is sometimes not abstract at all. I need a drink…..and somehow this makes me hate Emerald Fennell even more
