I know that I’m a grown adult and I can’t pretend like there are not women in this world who are coerced into making decisions against their better interests for the sake of male partners but oh my GOD isabella! the stupidity! I can’t blame her for heathcliff keeping her captive in the house but I can certainly blame her for everything else

I used to think that “heathcliff isn’t white” was a refrain in the style of “katniss had olive skin” but no omg these characters are throwing the full book of racial slurs at this boy. i can’t believe the next adaptation is so boldly whitewashing him like this it’s shameful
