Roxane is reading Will
I picked up this title as we thought we would do as a family read. I probably would not have selected but wound up thoroughly enjoying this book. Generally I just love to read about people’s lives and it was sprinkled with some wisdom. By the way, I heard from a friend that the audiobook was fantastic as Will is telling the story.

Roxane is reading We Are All the Same in the Dark
This was a good read… again love the short chapters… also characters that you are sympathetic to/ rooting for…. Something about the ending (the last 5-10 pages) was a bit disappointing but on the whole I enjoyed.

Super quick read… short chapters… which I especially love when beach reading. Not a must read but if you pick it up you will likely enjoy…. Though if wonder what happens next.

Roxane is reading Here All Along: Finding Meaning, Spirituality, and a Deeper Connection to Life-in Judaism (after Finally Choosing to Look There)
I picked up this book as I heard she was a speechwriter and I thought.... oh I have always wondered if I could write speeches.... and she was exploring Judaism which I have always been interested in... the book was ok.... gave me some interesting things to chew on but not necessarily a title I would widely recommend....

Roxane is reading Small Great Things
This is a GREAT book club read! Touches on important, timely topic in a way that is light enough to make it a quick read but leaves lots of room for discussion.

Roxane is reading All the Ugly and Wonderful Things
This book was a combination of tragic yet tender. It was a bit of a tough read, not for style but for subject... tragedy and children are hard for me. That is always tough but I know it is real.

Roxane is reading Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows
I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the characters and the writing style. I appreciated some of the subject matter that it brought up. I recommend reading (with the caveat that you are ok with tidbits of erotic stories just like the title says).

Hmmm. For the woman who feels like she is longing in her soul for something but not sure what.... This book helps you understand that the longing is simply an invitation to get to know yourself on a deeper level... it’s a calling to the “wild” or not sanitized version of yourself. It took me awhile to get through but well worth it! Think a lesson for every woman and something to read a couple of times in your life.

Roxane is on page 265 of 320 of She's Still There: Rescuing the Girl in You
Read as I would a devotional... doing a chapter a day. I enjoyed and look forward to going back to the questions posed and more fully contemplating and journaling some of them. It is definitely a timing kind of book... if somewhere inside of you you feel like you lost you.... it’s some good prodding and encouraging to find her again.

Roxane is on page 188 of 336 of Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
I will start by saying I am not a big fan of Brit Lit. It took me awhile to enjoy the story but I did come around... not enough to recommend someone must read but you do love and cheer for Eleanor as the story goes on. It also was touching as it reminds you that though there is tragedy there can still be triumph. It kind of reminded me of A Man Named Ove.
