Okay I liked more that there was plot in the relationship, rather in Lights Out she tried to put some kinda plot into it.

Loved the idea. Slight ick cuz it's a 22 year old and an almost 18 year old. Writing style... not for me. Very fast pace and chopped. Some of each characters comments were... cringe. But I can't remember shit we said in 2017. Movie is very different from the book... kinda prefer the movie's direction instead. More realistic.

Reading Fford's stuff is a challenge for me. I have a hard time with imagery because he doesn't much explain imagery as much as he does concepts and explanations. The book kinda didn't have much going, unlike the last couple chapters. But he writes odd hierarchy and rules very intricately. It ended so easily tho. And a lot unanswered. I want to know the truths. 😑

Slow going. Finally picking up. Fforde's dialect and obscure detail takes me time to read. And sometimes stop... so I picked it back up after a month oops. Originally started 2/15/24

Literally read it in 2-3 hours. I can't even come up with words. The amount of anger surges was unreal. Autobiographies are hard because you can twist things how you want. I want to say she did not do that, she was very raw with her thoughts. She didn't dwell on one event or another. In the end: Fuck her whole family.

Very dialogue heavy. But watching the show first made this easier to visualize. Details about him falling for Yennifer kinds fell short but hey. He wanted to end the book with sex and a fight. (This is where I shrug)
