Just finished ‘Howl’, the first poem. And God!!!!! Howl reads like the confessions & the anxious ramblings of a mad genius and an unabashed degenerate in the best way possible. Every word feels so incredibly raw. Ginsberg’s writing is so vivid like he’s pried his skull open with a crowbar and assaulted us with its contents. Howl, even after 66 years, remains terrifying relatable.
