the writing took me a good moment to get into - it is very choppy, kindof discordant, fragmented. The book is moderately gory so far, and had a great eerie/unsettling old mansion scene

on to part three !! how did they fit all this in just two movies? it is so rich, the *lore* goes way deep

How does a person even write something like this. How do people write anything at all that people can read and go “yes, i believe. and i read as if this all is true.” Especially of this scope…

This book is a very, very slow-burn…i just hope the payoff is going to be there

This might actually be really good and fun and creepy. It is definitely a strong start and bonus points for gayness

So far it is a bit boring and i am not loving the writing style

my biggest gripe with the book so far is how everytime something weird happens, it legit says “weird, right?” Like oh my god, this is a horror novel, stop pointing this shit out, we can see it is kindof weird, it is permitted to be weird and in FACT some weirdness is required in a horror novel, in my opinion !! So just lean into it, no shame, instead of pointing it out like yh its weird ughh
