God, does Anne Rice say so much only to say so little!

This has a better pace than prior books, but not by much

I wish I'd finally learn Anne Rice has such a grandiose style and the slowest pacing. It takes 3-5 business days to read 20 pages.

So far this author has gotten every single trope and nugget, like they are trying to prove they know about the golden girls.

Yeah, I had the epiphany reading this that Anne Rice writes soft men, who are wealthy, privileged, smart and shallow. They are almost caricature of masculinity and are written as what a woman would want a man to be.

Anne Rice has a way of writing soft men, men who you want to shake and tell to get their heads out of the clouds

Sometimes Anne Rice just over analyzes and over thinks a concept to death.

Such a beautiful book!

Def some parts that seem gratuitous...

The delusion and the drama that is LIZA. I love it so much.
