These chapters are way too long. They get boring that way. The story needs to move forward and the long chapters make it feel like it’s stagnating.

Did L.A. Witt even research the hierarchy of gangsters/mobsters?? Because she’s getting it so wrong!!! 😑

Ugh!! 😑 Two paragraphs in and I already can’t listen to the audio. The narrator pauses for several seconds after every comma and period. No wonder the audiobook is 13.5 hours!! 🙄 I’ll read it on my own a lot more quickly than that.

This isn’t the edition I’m reading, but I guess it’s the closest I’m gonna get. The one I have is published by William Morrow and has a different cover, but the page count is the same. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m just plodding along trying to get through this.

I’m still not sure about this book. Part of me really wants to DNF it, but the other part is making me stick with it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s not even that good. 😅

It’s so hard to stay engaged with a story when you have it all figured out. I’ve known who the murderer is for a several chapters now. Why do authors have to make things so obvious? 😩

I’m so confused. One of the MCs is Dakota Cotton. There was an NHL player named Cotton in the last book. I thought they were the same guy but this just said that Dakota has never been in a room with an entire NHL team before. Whaaaat?? (Insert confused minion gif here.) This better be explained.
