This is the kind of book I refer to as a “palate cleanser”. It helps reset me after a sugary romance or if I’ve read a few book I couldn’t get into. I don’t read them often, but here goes.

The audiobook is so different than the kindle book I own. I have to keep stopping it so I can read what’s on the page or search for what’s being narrated. 😡

Idk how far I’ll make it into this book. It’s not grabbing me.

This is turning into a Scooby Doo situation and I hate that. Why do authors write books where civilians traipse around trying to solve crimes/problems that should be left up to LEOs?? It’s annoying and definitely not my cup of tea. The author should’ve at least made one of these guys a cop. 😑

Page 125; 5 hours into a 41 hour audiobook. 😥😥 I loved this mini-series when I saw it years ago. It’s why I bought the book. Now I think I might be regretting my decision as I’m utterly bored. 😮‍💨

I wish I had know this was a prequel to the On the Ropes series before I read Fighting the Silence. Amazon didn’t even have the two books linked. 🙄 I guess I should’ve checked here first since these has it as book 0.5 of that series.
