My detail oriented brain is trying to figure out how it says the original edition of this book was 611 pages, but now this newer edition (with the ugly, bland cover) says it only has 464 pages. So I’m flipping back and forth between the two editions and it’s mind boggling. 😵‍💫 Also, the incorrect phrase “all of the sudden” was never corrected for the new version. 🤬🤬🤬Ridiculous!

I’m reading this because I need a comfort read. There are bad things that happen in this book, but I love the comfort of spending time with the McKallister clan. I also really miss these original covers. I hate the way they’ve changed over the years. They’re so bland now. Yuck.

Doing a buddy read with my sister. Plus, I just noticed that Rogue Wave was released so I wanted a refresher of Keith’s character.

It’s been years since I’ve read any new M/F books. This was a rec from my niece. So far, I’m pleasantly surprised. Female MC isn’t a whiny girl. She’s mouthy and bold. The snark has been flowing so far. Let’s hope it continues.
