pointers... we meet again

Really nice, got it as a present from a family member. For now, it really does give a nice overview of world history.

Also... Minoans rock!

This is it, neither too basic, nor too advanced!

Ok, after going through the graphics and string chapters, I've noticed the content is a bit shallow / sometimes not so useful. After reading some reviews of this book, I realized that the use of non-standard libraries by the author is quite damaging to learning, with options like K.N. King's being much more adequate.

Dropping and leaving as consult-option because it is incredibly well written.

WOW, I really should have begun with this one instead. While Richie's book feels like being shot with a gun, this one is a breezy walk in the park...

let's see if I can finish both!

Reeeally slow read on this one. Some parts become very uninteresting because the author enters some rabbit holes about some random unimportant people. In my opinion, it could have been more direct.

Overall great and well researched arguments, as opposed to the reviews saying Dawkins simply “dOeS nOt UnDeRsTaNd ReLiGiOn”. These people are the ones the book was aimed at, and it apparently didn’t work.

So far I have to agree with other reviews, it really feels as if Dawkins is writing for people that already agree with him, rather than trying to convince those with religious beliefs...
