I love this series so hard

This series has me in a chokehold. I’ve tried and failed to commit to two other books today and it’s just not happening so here we go!

This is such a good time. Filled with trials, found family, deception, angst, and so much more. I love a good slow burn with plot with tons of action. Literally having so much fun with this book. I hate to put it down.

Obsessed with this book. The premise, the voice, the execution. So fun!

Randomly throughout the book it’s like the author comes up within an idea for characteristic of one of these characters and he has to debate how that character has that ability or why it would have surface and it really takes me out of the story when these parts pop up where it’s like he’s having a conversation with himself.

Physical TBR read of the week! I can’t believe this has taken me so long to read. I think the mixed reviews put me off but I’m genuinely enjoying this story. It’s not what I typically gravitate towards but the story is super interesting and the writing is very well done! Definitely a highlight worthy book. ❤️

Audible freebee listen of the week! IDK what it is about this story but speaks to my soul. It’s like a cozy favorite blanket. It’s so real while remaining relevant and interesting. I really enjoy Carries story and I found it so easy to relate to her. I adore Poppy and this small town vibe where people connect via books ❤️

I’m flying through this book. It’s been living rent- free in my head all day. This may end up as a 5 ⭐️ read (thank goodness! I needed this win.)

I want to read this. I care about the characters and the plot is plotting but I never want to reach for it and IDK how to explain that.

Obligatory read because I watched this book from the time Invi thought of it on TikTok, through the writing process, and now that it’s finally published I have to have to read about the cocket. It’s not optional. 😆

Trying to listen to as many of my Free Audible catalogue books as I can before the end of the month! This is a super easy reader. Cute but a little slow on the pacing. This is definitely a book that you would want to read if you just want to casually relax into the world and have an experience rather than an end goal although there’s definitely a plot!

Listening to this one because I already have a physical copy going. This world has an interesting magic system and it definitely has a good hook at the beginning. I have found myself slowing down the audio so that I can really grasp what’s going on. It is definitely a higher fantasy world so I’m still getting my footing on the magic system and the hierarchy of this academy setting.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that I’ve had to go back to the glossary to learn the language/places/terms this many times 😂 Wild. There’s not really a hook at the beginning and it’s written and very much third person that it almost comes off like a fairytale. Definitely very different, but excited to dig into it more. I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of this world!

I like the writing and trials are interesting. The character relationships are okay. I’m just really not a vampire girlie so I probably won’t be continuing this series.

You know the drill… The sequel is up for preorder with bookish box so now I have to decide if I’m keeping this book and continuing the series.
