So far...the story is boring.

Er, I think this is going to be a DNF. I just lost interest. Grace is demanding, annoying, and full of self-pity. It feels like so little growth has actually taken place since book one, and I just don't like her at this point. Hudson is fine. Even Jaxon is okay. But I do not understand the clusterfuck that is happening.

The world is actually pretty cool. Kinda similar to The Cruel Prince in some ways. Only thing I'm not into is Prince Keir. He just doesn't do it for me, and it bugs me all the women fall at his feet. There's nothing really interesting about him, imo.

Plot has picked up! It's going fast now. Still suffering from that "glazing over a few scenes" syndrome but I think this is because I want more dialogue/action where there are long passages of scenery. BUT, totally rooting for Rook & Isobel. Gadfly is sketchy asf now, but we knew that lol

I like Dark Witch, but it's also a bit predictable for me. I'm so close to the end & hoping to finish this soon.

So far, I like what I'm reading. I am totally rooting for Isobel & Rook. I do think, at times, things get a bit boring. I've found myself wanting to flip ahead, for the pacing to pick up a bit. This could also be because I'm eager to find out what goes down in the Spring Court. IDK. I love how Rogerson is portraying the Fair Ones <3 Stay tuned.

I finished Dark Fever in about a day or so. Hoping this will be just as good!

I lost steam on this one for a bit. I keep trying to push through it, but I think my brain is just...elsewhere. This story isn't hooking me as much as I'd hoped.

Man, I forgot how scattered Grace is. Like, valley girl hopped up on Starbucks. It takes her 5 chapters to figure out what I did in 5 seconds.

I'm honestly not sure where this story is going. The main character (The Maiden, Poppy) goes on and on about everything. There's not alot of action happening at the beginning, which isn't bad, but we get so much info about the world dumped in the first chap. It's intriguing but so horribly slow.

I'm in love somehow. I've already bought the second book.

It was hard to get into the beginning, but there's alot I'm currently enjoying about ADOW. I love how the world-building of creatures (witches, vampires, daemons) is linked with science and Darwinian theory. I also like how each creature has its own culture, even though they all obey the same rules. Like, I can't tell you the last time a book talked about the culture, behaviors, etc of vampires....

Interesting!

For some reason, the visual of vampires, deamons, and witches doing yoga together is comical. I love it, but I also cannot imagine swanky vamps in yoga pants lol

I am so behind on reading because I keep rereading comfort books >_<

Giving this a break and coming back after my big move. I just don't have the attention span or head space for it.

Temporarily shelving this to focus on one book at a time >.< finals are around the corner.
