I'm in love somehow. I've already bought the second book.

It was hard to get into the beginning, but there's alot I'm currently enjoying about ADOW. I love how the world-building of creatures (witches, vampires, daemons) is linked with science and Darwinian theory. I also like how each creature has its own culture, even though they all obey the same rules. Like, I can't tell you the last time a book talked about the culture, behaviors, etc of vampires....

For some reason, the visual of vampires, deamons, and witches doing yoga together is comical. I love it, but I also cannot imagine swanky vamps in yoga pants lol

Loved the show. Decided to give this a whirl. Really wanna love it, but damn. All of chapter one is exposition, backstory, and info-dumping.

Pushing through to see if it improves.
