Only 5 pages in and I am probably going to regret this - the last book I read of his was dreadful.

Lisa is on page 12 of 400 of Vanished (The Profiler #2)
Chapter 1 page 12 & I'm already disappointed.

Begins with "Eighteen years later" . Obviously part of a series - its not listed on the cover or the back of the book synopsis - which means that I'm going to be reading a book trying to figure out all the references to past events & characters and their actions & how it impacts the current story. If its part of a series put in on the cover or the synopsis please!

Call me crazy - but what better time to read about a pandemic - than in the middle of a pandemic!

So far its pretty interesting.

Book 1 of a triology. So far - not impressed, even though I've always been fascinated by Kleopatra.

Lisa is starting Silver Sparrow
a little halfway through this book - only to discover that i was mistaken about the time frame in which the novel portrays. I thought it was set in the 40'2 & 50's based on the description of the characters/events. I was shocked later to find out that it is set in the 70's, 80's & beyond.

24 pages in and we already have a runaway teen, an interesting female cop & a foot - might be a worthwhile read.

Lisa is on page 230 of 370 of The Book of Lost Fragrances (Reincarnationist, #4)
Slowly slogging through. Difficult to feel anything for any of the characters - they are ll so formulaic, from the good guys/girls to the bad guys/girls. And the worst of it is they jump from one character to the next to the next to the next - there is no consistency in the storyline because of it. Hard to keep track of who is who and who I should be rooting for to succeed. ughhhhh

Lisa is on page 84 of 328 of Tell Me (Savannah, #3)
Disappointed to find out that this number 3 in a series of books. It was given to me by my sister. I don't normally jump in to a series - because I hate it when I don't know the backstory of characters - but because this is a bit of mindless fluff I guess it doesn't really matter if I started at the beginning.

Sadly - I've had to put this book down because I have so many other things to do at this time of year. Its an interesting book - and I will definitely pick it back up in the fall when life slows down. For now it will have to be shorter books to read.

What a wonderfully interesting twisty read thus far. The parallels between the current girl and the girl before make it a very interesting set-up. Can't wait to see how this ends.

Lisa is on page 80 of 331 of The Liar's Room
I received this book as a giveway and immediately started reading. It has a very interesting premise - 2 people (both liars) locked in a room looking for the truth - not just their version of it.

Not very far in - but so far it is interesting. Wish I had more time to read than I currently do.

Lisa is starting Reconstructing Natalie (Women of Faith Fiction)
A quick and easy read. The main character was bright & bubbly. Her relationship with her two best friends was awesome. I almost liked best friend Merritt better than Natalie.

The only draw back to this story is that the author wrapped everything up with a pretty little bow. No character lingered - they all had a happy finish.

Lisa is on page 57 of 400 of We Need to Talk About Kevin
A very slow read. I think it would be much better for the story to unfold in a linear fashion rather than back & forth in time. I don't think i'm getting an accurate understanding of the main characters feelings about the fact that her son, whom she doesn't really appear to love, has committed an awful act of mass murder at his school. hopefully the storyline gets better.
