‘We had stories spread about Paolo and Connor.’ But the chapter is from Paolo’s POV! Why is he referring to himself in third person? And even if it was from the only other POV in the novel, Connor’s, that sentence still wouldn’t make a lick of sense.

This has not been proofread, has it? Most egregious is that I’ve seen the baby’s name spelled correctly only once in 61 pages! :(

Mostly, because I really like Duke as a character.

Marcus was Daniel’s baby brother by adoption.

Why is Daniel referring to himself in third person? After all, it’s his chapter and the entire book uses first person POV.

I like this series, but I can’t deny it’s poorly edited (if at all!).

Things I thought I’d never say or write: the rat shifters sound really nice.

“Wolves take nine months to gestate […].”

Wait. I have only seen 3 month pregnancies with wolves so far. This seems inconsistent.

My carrier stood there with Sunny clutched to his chest and a man held like a sack of potatoes in his other arm. The guy flashed me a very confused smile and held up a to-go container from Dad’s favorite Thai restaurant.

And that is the crux of it all.

Who is this I person that suddenly pops up? I’m aware there’s an omniscient POV / narrator, but this “person” hasn’t referred to themselves in the first person until now. What a strange shift.
