Meh

I remember reading Lirael and absolutely loving it years ago (like, middle school?), but I don’t believe I ever got to Sabriel. This is already such a delight.

As we sprint into the new year, here are my current favorite reads of 2025:

1. The War of the Flowers by Tad Williams. The worldbuilding, the cast, the prose…!

2. Addie LaRue tied with Vicious, both by VE Schwab. Both so rereadable, I think.

3. Greenteeth by Molly O’Neill. Such a pleasant surprise. Tied with:
A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher. Deliciously dark!
