I hate that I kind of like the commander in the book but I love complex characters that have layers to them in the TV show. He was so one dimensional also reading what happened to America as it turned into Gilead could not rip my eyes away. I’m glad to finally know when the show did little to explain in depths the magnitude of the transition of the American government collapsing to the new government forming
