Excited to have my heart ripped out and crushed right in front of me !

I don't know if it's supposed to be a plot twist, but this man's wife is certainly dead.

This book is mentioned time and time again, across such a wide variety of genres. It's time I finally read it.

Very annoyed with Libby, went to return another book and accidentally returned this one :( another four week wait on this memoir.

I'm so sorry for what is an absolutely absurd mix of books on my "currently reading" shelf.

I needed to not think for a little bit and this book fulfilled that need well.

I love Kingsolver, so I'm infinitely curious to see how well I like one of her less popular works.

I really appreciate John Green's work with non-fiction.

The amount of similarities between this and Yellowface are unfortunate :/

I feel sick. There are some books that are so stupidly specifically triggering to me and this is certainly one of them.

Holy shit, I don't think I've ever picked up a book with this strong of an opening.

Time to catch up on my reading challenge with some shorter books.

I love Andy Weir so I have high hopes for this one.

I am so excited for this - it seems like a classic with a fast pace. I hope it isn't my last book this year but I have a feeling I might slow down with the holiday. This sure is a monster.

Oversimplified in its message. If you’re going to assign yourself an adult base of readers with your vulgarity, at least back it up with adult nuance. It’s a shame- this could’ve had potential to sow seeds of doubt against the prison labor system in young minds; instead it opted to be overtly sexual for the sake of a much more indifferent adult audience.

I think this has some serious potential to be a new favorite non-ficiton.
