Never has "the absence of privilege feels like persecution" felt so applicable. I am deeply enthralled with this.

Somehow I feel like I am always reading classics and knocking another book off of the top 100 list and still I have so many left.

Is it bad to say outright that I am not looking forward to this one? I just don't think I have it in me to get invested in a fantasy series unless it is devastatingly amazing.

Didn't realize this was Charlotte McConaghy until I started reading. I'm happy that this is much shorter than "Wild Dark Shore" - less concern about being forced into another reading slump.

I waited on this one for MONTHS from my library. Excited to finally get it.

Already in love with this.

Okay - I'm clearly on a kick of childrens books. I'm trying to read everything that I missed out on as a kid while I was worrying over reading every book in the Babysitters Club, the Boxcar Children, and the Magic Treehouse series.

I feel betrayed

I'm such a sucker - I already know this book is gonna break my heart.

A close friend recommended this, so I have high hopes for it.

I'm in the worst reading slump

I am going to be emotionally ruined by the end of this, I can already tell.

This book SLAMMED me into a reading slump. I killed a near 900 page Steven King novel in 2 days before this and have been drudging through this for the past 5 days :(

I love when a book is both long as hell AND fast paced.

I simply haven't had the energy to compose fully-formed reviews in a minute. I'm afraid this one won't be any different.

Jumping over to read something from my Goodreads tbr since I almost never check anything off of that list.

I'm moving at a snail's pace with this series now :(

Yay!!
