okay so i definitely think i'm obsessed with this book

i can't get over this MC's name literally being "of the mountain of the mountain"

one of these days I'll actually finish all the books i have started rn. why did i do this to myself

begging romantasy authors to stop referring to their non-human characters as "male" or "female". it's fucking annoying. not a day goes by where i'm not grateful that holly black doesn't do that shit. it really is unnecessary. just say he's a man for fucks sake (can you tell this is a pet peeve of mine?)

i'm in my favorite chunk of this book and it still makes me giggle and kick my feet. i love jude and how terrible she is and the lengths she's willing to go to, and i love how cardan gets a lot more depth after they find themselves thrown together in the chaos

the fact that i'm finally reading this means i can finally watch the movie when i finish it 👀

i love having the litjoycrate edition with holly black's annotations cause i feel so vindicated in some of my long-held theories

why are there pick-mes and fuck boys in pride and prejudice? what do you mean people haven't change in over 200 years?

is so frustrating to see how much potential this book has but the author keeps ruining it with the stupidest fucking jokes. the humor is SO juvenile and it clashes dramatically with this grim dark fantasy world that the author is building up.

high hopes, i have not. what i do have is a deadline
