I can see a little bit of Astra in myself. I can also see pieces of the struggles and insecurities and frustrations of the people around her in me as well
It is a beautifully reflective mirror story. Just when you think you have anyone figured out there it goes again.

So far these poems I have read are so simple a d honest and written so very plainly but in the plain expression is a true sensibility of an elegant tenderness to the hard side of life.

I love the story so far, and the details, and the inside life of the royal family. I agree with other reviews that I read so far that the "love story" part feels ill fitting.

These stories are so full of nuance and detail, there are some I will need to go back and read again just to absorb them.

As a person who was born and spent his youth in Saint John during the 1980s and 1990s, I feel the scent of connection to the lives lived in these stories. So fat the stories are very well crafted and the characters have a deeply relatable humanity. I feel for them and their stories.

I love the poem about the changing face of Saint John. It gets at the heart of the feeling and the experience of those of us who have life memories of Saint John from a certain period of life. I don't live in Saint John anymore but the feeling of being from there and sharing in that feeling resonates with me.

I am enjoying this journey. It speaks to me as a come from away in St John's. I appreciate the humanity of the characters.

Ok I love the story and how it evolves. I love the perspectives shifting and the energy...yet it is too long lol. It never ends. I ended up skimming and skipping through so much by the 80 percentage point. I skipped much of the battles and skimmed some. I love the story but just had to say that. It is beautifully deep and intense full of ever emerging plot twists.

This is a deep read. It is like a camera is following around the characters in a panoramic view of the action.

I love this writing. The masterful depth and flow of the seams of life. I resonates with Olive and the humanity of Ty he characters I have met this far.
