I’m just not convinced all dystopian fiction is a “crip genre”. There are lots of parallels to present & historical disability but typically it’s not trying to spread awareness of that experience. I personally don’t want to claim a genre that ignores & steals from us as a genre about disability.

So far fascinating

One of my absolute favorite people M Rebecca Wildsmith released her third book Evelina Fontana today!!! Her first two books have great reviews and I hope you dive in!

Evelina Fontana is a standalone gothic thriller set behind enemy lines during WWII. It has some crossover with her second book, Verity Easton & if you buy hard copies of both, there are hidden messages & clues you can decipher!

Definitely picked this up thinking it was a different book 😂 but interesting enough that I’m still reading!

I’m having the hardest time with this one. At this point not convinced it’ll get more interesting…

Finding out China Mieville has a new book coming out, then discovering it’s almost 1300 pgs😱

I’ve never read a book over 800 pgs and didn’t think there was plenty that could be cut!

Going back on semi-hiatus for a bit! I feel like I haven’t had a second to read😭

Stayed up half the night reading, had weird ocean creature dreams for the rest of it 🤣

Someone needs to restrain me on Netgalley. I’ve got a million gardening & cookbooks to review & I just keep requesting more…

love the premise-set in a magical prison…however 25% in before Briony is sent to Asperfell (mage prison) where she meets her love interest Elyan…

Oh idk mixed feelings. Think the last 25% will turn me one way or another…
