Written similarly to Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist but in more simple language

beautiful.

God did not bring you into the world because he had any need of you; but solely that he might show forth his goodness in you. To this end he gave you understanding that you might know him, memory that you might think of him, a will that you might love him, imagination that you might realize his mercies, speech that you might praise him, and so on with all your other faculties.

SO FIRE 🔥

Temptation is inevitable, a trial is necessary. But how will we draw the strength to resist temptations? Jesus teaches us that it is not in giving in to our imagination, nor thinking ourselves strong, but in never losing the feeling of our weakness. We will avoid discouragement as well as sin by staying watchful and by praying. We cannot pray and sin at the same time.

St Therese is so gentle with the way she writes! Every time I read a page of this book I feel like she’s sitting and reading them to me. Such a beautiful soul! ❤️

The apostle's ambition is much higher, to look not for a personal triumph, but for the triumph of Christ.
What we want to communicate is not our own point of view, but a belief that we know to be true, because it is the word of God.
