I'm not sure if I like this book or not. I did to begin with but the third person pov with the ML is pulling me out of the story and the FL is getting more brat-like and entitled which I am getting irritated with.

The amount of convenient coincidences are starting to irk me

Aw loving the romance at this point - and James

I've slowed down a bit reading this - it started really strong but feels like a bunch of coincidences and retelling the same incident over and over for over 100 pages now. I really wish this was in 1st POV

repeat repeat repeat

I'm only in chapter 1 but this is wordy. There is a high amount of telling - sometimes repeating and telling. The audio is 9 hours long but I need to make it through just this really really slow chapter

This is very dry so far. It's not very engaging and I'm struggling to keep the kids interested - which isn't surprising as I'm bored.

There is a lot of info dumping so far - we are two chapters down. Nothing has really happened and it's a lot of every day activities that aren't at the moment helping to draw one into the story.

Did I mention the writing style is very dry? Monotone? Just not great for kids.
