This book has soooooooo many gay undertones yet it seems almost scared to go there. I get it was the 90's and all, but I'm not even joking when I say this book would be a MILLION times better if Lestat and Louis were kissing. Anne Rice why are you a coward

Lestat's "death" is pretty effecting and convincing provided you dont know the next book is called "The Vampire Lestat"

Crazy the most loving relationship in this book is Gringoire and Esmerelda's goat he LITERALLY gets the chance to save her or the goat from HANGING and he chooses THE GOAT

I remember everyone reading this when i was 14 so I watched the show and the twist in this is so insane and cruel and terrible that I knew I must read it as well
