The Drake equation is referenced in this (they even say the equation) but they call it the "Drake-Roddenberry equation" which I'm pretty sure is a reference to Gene Roddenburry who made Star Trek. Which, like, cool, I love references, but don't disrespect my boy Frank Drake like that, he came up with the equation for aliens all by himself

Take a shot every time this references Dune
- “plans within plans”
- a box based hand challenge
- Guy named Leto
- Don’t use guns because of personal force shields
Now if only Pierce Brown had the balls to introduce a character named Ducan Idaho

Might have my favorite use of Chekhov’s gun - Darrow just nonchalantly carrying around a nitrogen bomb with him the whole book

Reading even though I didn't like book one cuz I got drunk with my cousin-in-law and he was ranting about how awesome these books are and how they got him back into reading
So this one is for Corbin, in the hopes that one day i can get drunk with him again and actually get into it
