Luca is making me think about Dalinar and why I dislike his character in stormlight. because here, the reader is allowed to disdain Luca in her support for the empire and her belief in making positive change through it, even as she has a (semi valid) belief that it is the path of lesser evil and pain. her prioritization of her people is clearly selfish, even as she justifies it. makes ya think
