This is so, so, so, so good! Engrossing, propulsive, takes you deep into character in the midst of breathless action... Rushing towards the ending... good thing there are three sequels to this!

STUNNING. STUNNING. FIVE STARS. NO, WAIT -- ONE HUNDRED STARS. Goodreads has that rating, right? This was everything you want a book to be. *reeling*

Has there ever been a sequel in the history of sequels as monumentally brilliant as this one? The first book was staggeringly great. This one, incredibly, is better.

The intensity builds and builds. Pretty sure I'm going to need to ask Goodreads to add an extra star when I'm done with this. Five won't be enough.

Love the intensity of the sci-fi world building - and how naturally it's being done.

This really is a dazzling novel. Beautifully written, haunting and evocative in its execution, breathtaking in scope, and just brilliant in its relentlessly inventive use of language.

This book is SO INTRIGUING! Love the unique concept... such an original idea. This is in that great category of high concept YA (Jay Asher pretty much owns that category, but Levithan is securing his own place there). Love it.

I'm totally in favor of slow-burn beginnings for sure (whatever the story demands is cool), but I kinda love books that hit the ground running too! And this one explodes out of the gate. Feel like I'm gonna have to buckle up!

Brilliantly geeky and totally inspiring. It's already covered breaking the story, writing the scripts, designing the Batmobile, Batpod and the Bat in Chris Nolan's garage, and selecting the urban settings to reflect the characters' journeys. It's great as a detailed making-of, but it's better as a how-to guide for powerful storytelling. For me, Chris Nolan is up there with Joss Whedon and Russell T. Davies.

The slow and steady escalation of creepiness and mayhem... King does this so well!

One of the best books on writing ever, no question. I love re-reading this. It's such an important, inspiring book for me. Great for fans of King as well as writers of any kind.
