رمان متوسطی بود. فکر می‌کردم چون سروش حبیبی ترجمه کرده قراره با یه اثر خیلی خوب مواجه شم. بستر تاریخی ای که وقایع داره رخ میده خیلی پتانسیل داستان جذاب روایت کردن رو داره اما نویسنده هم فکر کنم نتونست این همه اتفاق رو تو صد صفحه بگنجونه. نیمه‌ی دوم کتاب برای من گیراتر بود ولی درکل خیلی تعریف کردنی هم نبود. همون روایت همیشگی از دهقان و ارباب.
