DNF. Never felt connected to the characters, world or the general feeling of passiveness from all characters, excepting maybe Jill. The time and character jumps are jarring. It felt like a worse version of Lois McMaster Bujold’s Chalion books. In retrospect two warnings I had were the opening dedication about role playing games and the long pronunciation guide.
