The conversation between characters involve SO much exposition at times and yet I’m still hanging on every word, so curious to see what happens next.

Like the first book (which was more buddy cop fantasy - something I could not have imagined SJM writing), it feels more like a thriller/spy/political intrigue story than fantasy. And the Graphic Audio version is so compelling!

So different from ACOTAR so far (Cell phones! Reality TV!) but also very Sarah J. Maas. So enjoying the heck out of it.

So dark! So gothic! So fairy tale!

I am enjoying this dark fairytale so much that don’t want it to end and wish it was part of a series.

I thought it was over at the halfway mark but Clare can definitely drag things out. Still enjoying it though.

All of Cassandra Clare’s characters have the same problem. If they’d only just talk to one other instead of keeping things to themselves to supposedly protect those they love! But then the books would be like 1/4 the length. Her writing is delightful as always.

Sometimes I just know I’ll like a book before I even start it. So far I’m right!

Not a fan of Colin right now. If he grabs her arm one more time..

So action packed and hard to put down!

Some very difficult parts..
