Boring first 30% babandoning.

While I do enjoy Joy Ellis's stories: I prefer those with real towns and places. When I read those with real places I go to Google Maps and check where they are and in some case's pubs that are used in the story and I check out the pub's location, pictures and menu's.

Trivial issue but on page 3: "Damian Green stood on the red rock looking west. On his right was the Golden Gate Bridge," Wouldn't the Golden Gate Bridge be on his left if he was looking West?

Really thinking of abandoning. It’s all over the place with such a huge character list I’m having trouble figuring out what the story is.

Well first booboo; there is no way to manoeuvre a vessel without a form of power for steerage, which Alex seems to be able to do.
