i was thinking about this book for 2 hours while driving

Dnf @ 27%. Don’t think the premise is interesting to me. Also, they fell in love in just about one day

They were going to make concentration camps?? Oh my god

Nevermind the phrase “primal instinct” was used, I’m going to read this to critique it now

I was genuinely so close to dropping this book because I see sparks of instalove and the characters aren’t very interesting, but there was a bit of stabby stabby so I’ll keep reading. I think it’s unlikely that I will read the rest of the series tho. Let’s see

ack the suspense

This book is now tolerable after Chapter 12. But why did it take so long? If I wasn’t reading this for a book club, I would have dropped it already.

I just want this cringefest to end

Marcelle from Aleppo’s story was amazing. Her mother was shot and killed (on accident) at a security checkpoint, but she turned her mother’s funeral into a silent protest, asking everyone to come in white tshirts and with red roses. The security forces were outside, but they couldn’t come in and shoot everyone because they were carrying red roses.

I am on part III, Revolution. I feel chills hearing their accounts of the protests, “God is Great. Freedom! Freedom!”

I’m scared!

Ngl the prologue almost lost me. But the ton and character changed in chap 1 and now my curiosity is piqued.
