Marcelle from Aleppo’s story was amazing. Her mother was shot and killed (on accident) at a security checkpoint, but she turned her mother’s funeral into a silent protest, asking everyone to come in white tshirts and with red roses. The security forces were outside, but they couldn’t come in and shoot everyone because they were carrying red roses.
