This is a struggle, not sure I can finish, its just boring, and I'm not sure when it was written but the main character has never heard of a cock-a-poo or a puppy mill? Really? I had high hopes, it has lots of dogs (lots and lots of cocker spaniels, which is odd in a small town, as personally I have hardly seen any in the city I live in) the next couple of days will determine if I skim to the end or just not.

That’s it. I’m done. Two thirds through and while there has been a murder, most of it has been about what everyone, and I mean everyone, is wearing. What they are eating, what the icons for attachments in email look like, how to make scalloped potatoes, what they are wearing the next day, what they are eating. Omg. I get it’s a cozy but come on, could we have a little mystery? Can’t finish it

I agree with everyone else that said the characters in this were just unpleasant, especially the grandmother, there are other books I will spend my time on. Did not finish.

gave up, and the murder hasn't even happened yet. The twins that own the restaurant are annoying and immature, hope they both get killed. The main character isn't much better, she is supposed to be there for work purposes and yet acts completely unprofessional. No thanks, there are better books.

i could barely get through the first chapter. This is awful, the main character is so wonderfully perfect adored by all. I picked this up because I thought a story about a vet is always good. Not so much.

This is a hard slog. People decide to adopt dogs because of an ad campaign for “bling” collars? And they give the staff necklaces based on these collars? Sounds hideous. The puppy mill they rescued the dogs from apparently specialized in small dogs several different breeds of small dogs. The main character is boring, never has to worry about funding, the name of the shelter and all associated businesses are stupid

I didn't know there was going to be a ghost - I hate ghosts in books!

I am starting to wonder if I will bother to finish this, main character isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, reads more like a romance novel than a mystery and the brand new best friend is childish and annoying. I think I'm half way through and the bookstore setting that drew me to the book is pretty much non-existent. Maybe I'll just chew on my bottom lip (if it isn't quivering that is) and carry on. Or not.
