This is how you do a second book. It's so good! The audiobook narrators are really good too ☺️ I wish they had the dramatised version out like they did for the first one but the dual narration for now is definitely a solid second choice ☺️ I'm preparing for something sad to happen given the review I saw though 😭

I am so confused by this audiobook :(

😭 I definitely need to take a break from this book. It's very depressing.

This is slow going. I already know what's going to happen and it's taking forever to get there.

Also - ripping out their throat and spitting their gross tasting blood in their own face is a new one - and oddly satisfying - would have preferred that character to be permanently gone but alas 🤣

Good points so far: Magic system is interesting. Love the imagery and setting. Writing is good.
Bad points so far: There are no likeable characters and I hate that. The main girl is ok ish. I also hate how depressing the story is so far and given the content warning at the beginning I don't think that will improve 😭.
Just holding on for that goodreads award honestly.

After heated rivalry and the long game (Ilya & Shane) I think these two are my second fave couple in this series so far! ❤️
Definitely prefer it to Scott & Kip and Ryan & Fabian's stories.
Also love all of Ilya's impromptu cameos 🤣

I have exactly 0 things I like about this book.
MMC is "Alpha" which is code for "Asshole".
FMC is also "Alpha" except she literally does everything he tells her to.
MMC & FMC supposedly hate each other... And yet they keep screwing each other.
The plot - what plot? Nothing has happened aside from one thing at the beginning 5% - I'm 65% in now and they keep saying war will happen... But it hasn't - That's it.
