Wow, I forgot how beautiful is Roshani Chokshi‘s voice. Enchanting.

I like Adrienne Young and her writing but this story and characters just do not catch my attention. Not the fault of the book but my unwillingness to spend more time trying to relate to the charcters and story. DNF.

I am trying to remember what I liked about the original. So far, this book seems bleak.

Raven Boys has been my favorite series for years, but I seem to lose interest in Ronan's story. I miss the original characters, and only Declan seems to be of any interest to me in this book :(

Disappointment. DNF.

I am loving this story! Detective, historical, paranormal - everything is combined so organically.

I think I am going to give up on the book. It’s a well written story with an interesting setting and murder mystery, but I just don’t feel anything toward characters or the story itself. It makes me feel bored. I suppose it’s one of those it’s not you it’s me cases. Alas! I’ve really wanted to enjoy this one! DNF.

This book is highly disturbing but also is highly addictive. I think I am going to be utterly ambivalent about it.

Not bad, but so far it lacks depth and connection with the characters.
