If you write fantasy and you've invented a lot, how about some damn fucking explanations? Or a glossary for your made-up words (big sorry if it's an existing language)?!
I am already so pissed off that I don't want to continue reading because it's so frustrating having to fill the gaps myself with uneducated guesses about an imaginary world.

Holy shit, I feel sick.... My brain is usually very good in dealing with violence in books because I read like 95% fantasy. But my brain clocked this book as non-fantasy and hooooooly, holy shit.

I don't think that the writing style is working for me. :/
It seems to me that the characters are making really unlogical and stupid decisions just to make the plot happen, and that makes me angry. Feels lazy.

I am gonna scream if I hear the word "breasts" again....
The story could be so good, why does the pining part with lots of sex thoughts feel so uncomfortable? Ah yes, the sex thoughts. I know, it's all perfectly fine... my ace ass just joined the party for the plot and great world building and can't stomach the strong heterosexual thirst. Can't they just fuck and be in love and we can go back to the severed heads?

Is it my personal curse that I only pick up the danmei with the rapist wet dreams?! Or is all of the genre some toxic shit?! Wtf?!?!? I know there are some without it but it seems like I only get the sick fuck rape shit. Jeez.

Were my expectations low because I'm not the biggest sci-fi reader? Yeah! Was Ambrose going on my nerves for being a whiny, horny teenager? Absolutely.
Did I expect that twist? NO. Am I absolutely hooked now?! Hell YEAH!

What is this obsession for hair?! Like body hair is mentioned in every third sentence sd I am going to scream if I have to read another description of Cooper's crude scrotch hair. Jeeez!!!

How can a book with zombies be so boring?!?!

Being pregnant will turn you into glass, you'll be highly breakable and sleeping 90% of the time. You better not breath because you might die because you are so vulnerable and dainty and you will just fall over dead because everything can kill you (like a leaf that might fall on you).
What is this bullshit?! Pregnancy is not a sickness. But yeah, let's use everything to keep the one MC helpless and cute. 🤮

WTF IS THIS SICK SHIT?! Did someone take a shit in the author's (or translator's) brain to actually write a sentence like this?!

So stupid this book is (it's comedy, it is supposed to be stupid), it's the first Danmei story calling out manipulation and abuse. I'm going full Galaxy brain (tm) right over here. The guy who got turned into a fish is seeing the bad stuff happening to him and calling out his supposed love interest's mistreatment instead of accepting it as a romantic gesture. Good for him, I am very proud.

I am actually kinda scared that I will fall in love with this book. It is the perfect mix of the magic in words of The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and the brutal honest horror gore of Andrew Joseph White. It has illustrations and little beautiful stories, it's queer and dramatic and I cannot describe what it could make it mire perfect? It's macabre and beautiful.

The pacing is dreadful... how many times can you use the sentence "I will explain/tell you later" in one book? It's really not a good plot device.
The rest is overdramatic, and the characters are mostly making the worst decisions possible. Like urgh... honestly, either you pull trough with the hostage thing or you make people art of the team, but this is dumb.

So this one guy gets burned really, REALLY bad. Like hardly any skin left on his body.
And so they put steel panels all over him. Onto his bare burned flesh.
I am not a doctor but I don't think that this is good.

I know it's stupid to be crossed with a book about wars and intrigues for being about wars and intrigues, but urgh. There is nothing else happening except 5 pages out of 100, which are interesting. I am so glad that this is the last volume of the series.

The pope is a war lord and is trying to lead the war to conquer the land of the protagonists. He personally.
And he is doing it for his KING. The pope.... first in line.
Like.... what?! WHAT?!
This is so immensely stupid.... I am tired.

The plot is boring and all over the place. But at least all people are grown-up up now. Yeay.

Honestly, why do I have to read about nightly orgasms of a 14 year old over a grown adult man who is his also guardian? This makes me very uncomfortable.

This book wants too much. Is it a crime story, is it about antisemitism, is it a fairytale fantasy, is it a love story, is it a political story, is it about trauma? I can't follow it because it deepens none of these plots, just trows piece of every part into the readers face.

I am trying something new. Instead of ranting, I will laugh about how stupid this is.
Like someone gets murdered Agatha Christie Style and to kick the investigation one of the suspects says: Everyone here has a reason to kill them.
And no one protests. All are just like: Okay, yeah, fine! I am suspicious too because of reasons unknown yet! Let me hang!

3 sentences in and I am like: Oh no, they are using random German words as names again.
Am I cursed? Why does it keep happening?
I already don't want to continue reading.

This is fucking terrible. I would drop it like a burned potato if it wouldn't be a book club read.
So I gonna fight my way through it to unleash my compiled anger later on.
I hate it when characters are just feeling sorry for themselves, blame everyone else around them, and do nothing to change anything. So frustrating. 4 times frustrating in this case. Urgh! Even worse if they are a male and only think about tits.

I am still waiting for this book to get interesting.

This is the most unlogical, fantastical thing I've ever read.
They made a very big law because schoolkids got murdered in America. In their school. By violence.
That's actually quite cynical.

And once again the bad German translator strikes again. Repeatedly. It is so bad that I am asking myself if it's even supposed to be German? Urgh...

If there's fighting over honour, I always hope that all parties will die because there is nothing more obsolete to fight over. I am so angry. This is beyond stupid and makes a boring series even worse.

I don't get the relationships of the characters. Like the siblings are told to be so devoted to each other but all they do is having really mean fights. Like really toxic. And the love interests are insta love because there is no development. Well.. it's more like insta wanna fucking, which okay, can be a thing. But why make it complicated with "story" then? A story, that doesn't happen?!
It's all very bleak.

The beginning was great, the first four chapters dragged me into the story.... and then it lost me. In a matter of a few pages the characters fell from interesting to what's left from cut outs. They just faded to boring. :/

The first book was so much better with plot happening. Now it's 84 pages of who is in love with somebody and who fucked someone. It's losing my interest very fast....
