I am gonna scream if I hear the word "breasts" again....
The story could be so good, why does the pining part with lots of sex thoughts feel so uncomfortable? Ah yes, the sex thoughts. I know, it's all perfectly fine... my ace ass just joined the party for the plot and great world building and can't stomach the strong heterosexual thirst. Can't they just fuck and be in love and we can go back to the severed heads?

I love T. Kingfisher. LOVE HER. And tried this a couple of times to always end up dnfing it for these same reasons... Pity I stopped before where you are, so I can't let you know if things will get "better" or "worse".

I usually love Kingfisher's books too! The stuff for kids, teens, adults - all of them have been fun or dramatic or great in their own way. This story has so much potential and I really want to like it but the thirst part is so strong. And I usually don't mind a bit of porn....
