only a few chapters in and I am really enjoying it. it's a departure from Johnson's earlier books as it has a romantic suspense tone which is set in a small town. The romance also promises to be sweet but sexy and very cute!

I am loving this book hard! So many laugh out loud moments and fab engaging leads. I don't want this book to end but I am already getting a book hangover.

Really curious about this one. And I love the book starts off with a confessional type prologue and that its in the POV of the hero.

This is classic LMR with big brawny hero and delicate heroine. But I love a heroine who loves Doctor Who

DNF - I tried to get into this and failing hard. And I like McKenna but this isn't for me.

I am really enjoying this although Vike is a huge softie towards Lacey which is surprisingly sweet. Think fans of BDB/Dark-Hunter series will lap this up.

This is like 70s style HQN meets Cinderella type rich hero/poor heroine erotic rom.

I'm enjoying this unconventional romance so far, and I love the beta hero who is sweet and unusual. I also love the tender romance that develops.

LOVING THIS!I don't want it to end

My initial impression when I started the book that it would be hard to get into. But I am really enjoying it although I wished I read the prequel novellas to get a sense of Caelena's past. I feel that a lot was cut out although it is not detracting from the main plot or characterisation.

Dear Goodreads - Listening to a minority who is very vocal about how and why we choose to review and shelve books is not the way to go. Reviewers here are your lifeblood if you piss us off there are many sites and platforms where we can choose to go to.

The heroine is really becoming annoying. Dude you live in a pseudo theocratic and facist country.

Loving the premise but its getting all vague and some aspects doesn't make sense.

There is a distinction between authors who review books albeit positive or negatively. And authors who attack reviewers even if they are authors themselves. Authors offer opinions all the time, blurbs on books? Cant complain about negative & accept positive reviews from fellow authors.

The romance has real promise but the side characters are really starting to annoy me with the over-the-topness.

I think any authors behaving badly should be named Voldermort/Voldermortina because it looks more and more likely that its about causing kerffules for publicity and to get people talking about their books.
