The FMC and MMC are pretty insufferable. The dialogue is constantly petulant to a fault and doesn’t flow naturally at all. Had very high hopes for the premise of this book, but it doesn’t seem like the author has any idea how to actually flesh it out. Just a skeleton of an idea tossed out as a Hail Mary. Maybe this was more of a (barely) trashy romance than a paranormal novel and I missed that memo though.
